1st Burnaby Guides

The Amy Leigh Fitness Circuit will honour the memory of our first Guide in Burnaby. Amy Leigh arrived from England in 1913 eager to resume her Girl Guide activities. She persuaded an adult, Mrs. Hunter Brown to help her form the 1st Burnaby company and later lead the company herself. They were registered in West Kingway District in 1914. She lived a very long life and continued in Guiding in Burnaby and in Vancouver. The Fitness Circuit is being constructed at Camp Olave.
